And one true thing—this day and age—is hard to come by. We know the power of vital to elevate the discourse, to clear the path, and to clarify the purpose. Is it vital, is a question we use to define our solutions. Because our experiences in marketing and branding so frequently led to the contrary. Greater access, more platforms, more channels, and the imagined necessity of having something done because it is trending, or novel, or economical, or any one of a lot of other fine-sounding reasons to do so—can and will fall away stood up to that question.
Not only that, but titles, and departments, and all sorts of bling and accoutrements (espresso machines, ping pong tables, etc.) fall away, too. They simply aren’t vital—to our way of thinking.
Our way of thinking is creative problem solving, which means that one or all of us few principals are at the table with you—deconstructing and distilling the issues and challenges into something vital…an opportunity. It is the best way we know to keep the trivial many—opinions and demands—from hijacking the higher purpose.
In the end, what this process does is keeps us from chasing squirrels—and helps our clients make the best decisions for their goals. It’s collaborating to get to a solution that offers no rational alternative.
